SEND Youth Club

A safe, welcoming place to go after school. Games, sport, arts, homework and trusted adults to talk to. Free.

Our youth club gives young people a safe place to spend time after school. They can socialise, play games, take part in activities, complete homework or simply have somewhere positive to relax with their friends.

Young people can take part in activities including:

  • Table tennis, air hockey and physical activities
  • PS5 and gaming
  • Board games
  • Arts and crafts
  • Social activities and team challenges
  • Quiet study and homework support
  • Sensory activities
  • Life skills
  • Informal mentoring
  • Confidence and communication activities
  • Discussions around issues affecting young people

Staff are available throughout the sessions to provide encouragement, mentoring and support. The provision is designed to be inclusive, including young people with SEND where we can safely meet their needs.

Youth voice matters to us. We regularly ask young people what they want from the club and use their feedback to shape activities, buy new resources and develop the programme. We also make space for age-appropriate conversations about mental wellbeing, online safety, healthy lifestyles, vaping and smoking, knife crime awareness and positive decision-making.

Part of Inclusion After Hours, our free after-school youth programme for ages 10 to 18, funded by the Million Hours Fund Phase 3 (the Department for Culture, Media and Sport and The National Lottery Community Fund). It runs until the end of March 2027.

There is no charge to children, young people or their families.

Families register interest for the youth club, speech and language therapy and English on one form.
