About Community Drive

Empowering Communities. Driving Inclusion.

Who we are

Community Drive CIC is a community organisation based in Lozells, Birmingham. We are led by two qualified teachers and SENDCos (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinators), alongside a Mencap professional who works with post-16 young people with learning disabilities and additional needs.

Our leadership team brings experience across education, SEND, safeguarding, inclusion and supporting children and young adults into adulthood.

Our mission

Our mission is to make support more accessible for children, young people and families in our community, particularly those with SEND, learning disabilities or additional needs, those who are disadvantaged, marginalised from education or at risk of exclusion.

We also want to help families who face language, cultural or practical barriers when trying to navigate education, SEND and other services.

We believe children and young people should have access to safe, inclusive opportunities where they can learn, socialise, build confidence, develop independence and feel part of their community.

What we are here for

  • Free, local support

Accessible activities, education and support for children, young people and families, completely free and close to home.

  • Inclusion for every child

Supporting children and young people with SEND, learning disabilities and additional needs to learn, socialise, build confidence and feel included.

  • Supporting the whole family

Helping parents and carers understand SEND, navigate services, meet other families and access support without facing it alone.

Who we work with
